How hot is this? The editors of TV Guide Magazine are honoring the 50th anniversary of General Hospital by giving an advertisement for the sudser the back cover of their own 60th anniversary edition!
Inside the special issue—which is a TV nut's wet dream—there is a four-page spread on arguably the most popular daytime sudser of all time, written by Michael Logan. Here's an excerpt from Logan's chat with Time Square Studios boss Vicki Dummer:
"I grew up loving GH—even my parents are addicted to it—so I understand how much it means to the people at home," says Dummer, who sees the serial as having "an extremely bright future. The ratings have increased 45 percent in women 18-34 from one year ago, and that's pretty astounding. But while ABC is embracing GH and helping move it forward, it's Frank and Ron who are the true miracle workers here."
