David (Vincent Irizarry) returned to Pine Valley Hospital, where he walked right past Cara (Lindsay Hartley). She thought she was seeing things, but then became convinced her ex was back. Griffin (Jordi Vilasuso) tried to reassure his sister, but grew pissed when he realized she still had feelings for his former mentor.
David thanked Angie (Debbi Morgan) for speaking to the parole board on his behalf. She admitted having gone to bat for him. The two had a touching conversation about loss and moving forward. When the topic of Cara came up, Angie became nervous. After being pressed by David, she admitted the doctor once again had borders. She was right there in the hospital with them!
David rushed off to find Cara. He discovered her in the middle of a heated conversation with Griffin. When Cara blurted out her fear of David finding out what she'd done, he demanded to know what she was talking about.
Zach (Thorsten Kaye) showed up at Jesse’s (Darnell Williams) and revealed the car that picked up Cassandra (Sal Stowers) was supposedly checked out by him. They went over video footage of Cassandra going off with a swarthy stranger.
Zach identified the man as a soldier for Russian mobsters, who had been trying to strong-arm their way into his casinos. Slater told Jesse things had gotten so intense, Kendall Hart (Alicia Minshew) had opted to leave him and take the kids with her.
Meanwhile, Cassandra remained handcuffed to a bed. When her kidnapper brought her a meal, she kicked it away, at which point the man struck her. He then proceeded to begin a sexual assault.
Celia (Jordan Lane Price) continued to act out with Evelyn (Francesca James), who agreed to talk to the 18-year-old's mystery guardian. I wonder how much a chiseled Pete Cortlandt (Rob Wilson) has to do with Celia's sudden desire for her independence?
Opal (Jill Larson) and her son dropped by the Chandler mansion, where Adam (David Canary) provided Pete with some advice on how to save Cortlandt Electronics. Since when does a Chandler help Palmer Cortlandt's (the late James Mitchell) son? Why isn’t Adam attempting a hostile takeover of his dead rival's company? I guess the feud ended with Palmer's passing.
As Petey was leaving out one door, Celia arrived to help Brooke (Julia Barr) with Miranda Center work. Why is Brooke running the Miranda Center, as opposed to Bianca (Eden Riegel)? Doesn't Brooke have any Tempo.com deadlines looming?
It didn’t take Opal two Harlem Shakes to realize Celia was the hook to keep Petey in Pine Valley. When Brooke and Celia left the room, Opal deleted Celia’s work, knowing her whiz kid spawn could help recover the document.
