For almost two decades, daytime audiences have tuned in for ABC's The View. In recent years, CBS Daytime has come on strong with The Talk. Now Telepictures is trying their hand at a panel-style chatfest comprised totally of women of color.
According to Deadline, The Real, a syndicated talk show starring Tamera Mowry (Tia & Tamera), Tamar Braxton (Braxton Family Values), Adrienne Bailon (The Cheetah Girls), Jeannie Mai (How Do I Look?) and Loni Love (Chelsea Lately), is getting a trial run on FOX-owned stations this summer.
This vehicle sounds like fun. I am a huge fan of Love, from her side-splitting appearances on Chelsea Lately. Braxton, who has all but eclipsed sister Toni in terms of pop culture relevance, is one of the most quotable reality starlets ever.
Telepictures is reportedly looking to launch The Real on July 8. Will you be watching, if the new show is tested in your area? Sound off in the comments!
