Victor Hugo's classic French novel has been adapted for the stage, film, radio and was even turned into a Manga comic book. Now Les Misérables is being transformed into a Spanish-language soap opera.
On Monday, Telemundo announced Mexican actress Aracely Arambula has been cast in the project.
“We’re very proud, since this is another big production that will carry our stamp and that we anticipate will have excellent audience results,” said Marcos Santana, president of Telemundo Internacional.
La Reina del Sur and La Patrona (an adaption of The Count of Monte Cristo) writer Valentina Parraga is adapting Les Miz for Telemundo.
