Everything was not as it seemed this past Sunday night on Once Upon A Time. Is there a chance something old will become new again? Check out The Top 5 Moments from OUAT’s “The New Neverland”.
Snow White vs. Medusa
In the Enchanted Forest, Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) begged Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) for a favor on their honeymoon. She wanted to find Medusa. She believed the creature could help them defeat The Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla). Snow’s ultimate goal was to turn TEQ to stone.
Snow and Charming eventually discovered Medusa, and the creature strongly protested their presence. Medusa battled the newlyweds, turning Charming to stone! Snow was horrified, but knew she had to save Charming. Snow attempted to formulate a plan to subdue Medusa, but TEQ interrupted her. She appeared in the broken part of one of the shields Snow and Charming used to protect themselves from Medusa. TEQ taunted Snow and thanked her for destroying her own happiness.
TEQ disappeared and Snow saw her own reflection in the broken piece of the shield. Snow quickly figured out how to defeat Medusa. She tore the rest of the fabric off the shield, and showed Medusa her reflection. Medusa turned to stone, and Charming came back to life. Snow White: 1, Mythical Creatures: 0.
The Shadow Returns
“Peter Pan” (Robbie Kay), disguised as Henry (Jared S. Gilmore), summoned his Shadow out of the Jolly Roger’s sail. The Shadow made a beeline for The Blue Fairy (Keegan Connor Tracy). She tried to run, but was caught. The Shadow ripped The Blue Fairy’s shadow out of her body, and she collapsed.
Several people heard her screams, and dashed to her side. Unfortunately, The Blue Fairy died. Who will be The Shadow’s next victim?
Opening Pandora’s Box
Emma (Jennifer Morrison), Mary Margaret and David wanted Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle) to free Peter Pan from Pandora’s Box. They believed Pan was somehow controlling The Shadow from the box.
Gold, Belle (Emilie de Ravin), Emma, David and Mary Margaret traveled to the town line with Pandora’s Box in tow. There is no magic beyond the line, so Pan would be powerless if released beyond the boundary.
Mr. Gold freed “Pan” from the box over the line.“Pan” quickly uttered “Mom” in Emma’s direction. Gold urged Emma to shoot “Pan”, but she hesitated. “Pan” swore to everyone he was actually Henry. The real Peter Pan had switched souls with him.
“Henry” Makes His Move
“Henry”, actually Peter Pan, attached himself to Regina shortly after he returned to Storybrooke. With The Shadow on the loose, “Henry” wanted Regina to keep him safe. She promised she would, and took him to her vault of hearts for safety. It was a place where The Shadow could not enter.
Once “Henry” and Regina entered the vault, “Henry” told his mother how lucky he felt to have her protection. Regina hugged “Henry”, and the boy grabbed a vial from behind her. When Regina broke the hug, Henry opened the vial in Regina’s face. A white powder erupted and knocked Regina out cold!
After Pan took out Regina, he visited Felix (Parker Croft). Pan pulled out a scroll with the curse that created Storybrooke on it. He planned to cast it again, causing everyone in the town to once again lose their memories, rendering them powerless. Will Pan create The New Neverland?
