The Wicked Witch of the West is proving to be quite the formidable villain in Storybrooke. Due to her plotting, one of our favorite characters didn’t make it to the end of the episode. Check out the Top 5 Moments from Once Upon A Time’s “Quiet Minds”.

Regina and Robin Hood

As Regina (Lana Parrilla) set out to find The Wicked Witch (Rebecca Mader), Robin (Sean Maguire) Hood crossed her path. The two shared a cute banter, and agreed to search for TWW together. They unknowingly entered her house, but had trouble finding clues of her magic. Robin Hood wondered about how evil Regina had been in the past, because he doesn’t believe the rumors. Robin just doesn’t see the evil in her that everyone fears.

Then, Robin came extremely close to Regina, but reached behind her to grab some whiskey. The two flirted and Robin poured her a drink. As Regina began to fall for his charm, she flashed back to Tinkerbelle (Rose McIver) showing her Robin Hood as her true love. An overwhelmed Regina ran out of the room.

Lumiere’s Help

One year ago in The Enchanted Forest, Belle (Emilie de Ravin) and Baelfire (Michael Raymond-James) searched for ways to bring Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle) back. They received some shocking help from a charmed candlestick by the name of Lumiere (Henri Lubatti). He guided them to a special book in the library, which turned out to be a hiding place for a key to the vault The Dark One. It was a secluded location in the forest where the original dark one was created. Belle was skeptical of Lumiere, but ultimately decided to take his advice. She also promised Rumpel would return Lumiere to his human form, once he was back in action.

Once Bae and Belle left, The Wicked Witch appeared and had a chat with her accomplice Lumiere. TWW wanted to make sure her prisoner Lumiere stuck to the plan of resurrecting The Dark One for her own purposes. What does TWW want with The Dark One?

Rumpelstiltskin’s Sacrifice

After Belle figured out Lumiere was lying about being in Rumpel’s library, she and Bae demanded Lumiere reveal his true identity. He confessed he was a man trapped in a candle by The Wicked Witch not Rumpel. He also revealed TWW wanted them to resurrect The Dark One, so she could control him with the dagger. Belle suggested they leave immediately, but Bae believed it didn’t matter how they brought Rumpel back. Bae threw all caution to the wind, and opened the vault. However, the key burned an imprint into his hand, and The Dark One began to appear.

As he formed, Bae writhed in pain in the snow. Soon, a fully restored Dark One ran to his son’s side. TWW suddenly appeared and made a few snide remarks about Bae not learning from his father’s mistakes. Rumpel shouted TWW didn’t tell Bae the price of bringing The Dark One back from the abyss would be his life. TWW didn’t care, and Rumpel ordered Belle to leave. Rumpel grabbed Bae and formed a force field around him, while he held the dagger. TWW knew he couldn’t hang on to both of them, so Rumpel threw his dagger at her feet.

Then, Rumpel absorbed Bae and began acting strange. He mumbled about there being no room, and no Rumpel. TWW ordered him to kill Belle, but Lumiere came to the rescue. He froze TWW with several rings of fire, while Belle grabbed him and ran.

Neal’s Last Stand

Belle helped Neal and Emma (Jennifer Morrison) realize how The Dark One returned via phone call. Before Emma could hang up, Neal fell to the ground in pain. He began to hear Rumpel’s voice in his head, and begged Emma to magically separate them. She complied and successfully separated the father and son. Rumpel was not pleased to see the results of Emma’s magic, but Neal informed Rumpel he instructed Emma to do it. Rumpel revealed TWW was actually Zelena.

Emma realized Rumpel could not save Neal, and began to cry. Neal asked Emma to tell Henry he was a good father, and gave her the old swan necklace back. Neal also thanked his father for teaching him about sacrifices, and said goodbye. After Neal and Rumpel traded “I Love You’s”, Neal died in Emma arms. I need a hug.

Rumpelstiltskin vs. Zelena

Rumpel looked over Neal’s lifeless body and Zelena walked toward them. She coldly mentioned Neal not being a problem anymore. Rumpel revealed he told everyone about her true identity, and threatened to kill her. Zelena quickly pulled out the dagger and stopped Rumpel in his tracks. He vowed to kill her, soon enough. Zelena wasn’t afraid, because she held control over his now fully functioning brain. Then, Zelena ordered The Dark One back into his cage. A disgusted Rumpel had no choice but to follow her command.
