Matters of the heart ruled Once Upon A Time this past Sunday night. Check out the Top 5 Moments from OUAT's "A Curious Thing".

Glinda The Good Witch of The South

Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin), Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) and The Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) set out to find Glinda The Good Witch of The South (Sunny Mabrey) to help defeat Zelena. They followed Rumpelstiltskin’s (Robert Carlyle) advice and traveled to a door in the forest, which appeared to lead to nowhere. Only those of pure heart could enter the door. Naturally, The Evil Queen was left out in the cold on this one.

Snow and Charming went through the door to find a winter wonderland. Glinda appeared in a cloud of white smoke on top of a small incline. Snow and Charming asked Glinda to take down Zelena (Rebecca Mader) for them, but Glinda informed them she couldn’t do it.

Unfortunately, her magic never has been strong enough to defeat Zelena. She briefly recounted her history with Zelena, and told The Charmings about a pendant she gifted to Zelena years ago. The pendant contains all of Zelena’s magic and may only be removed by the person with the strongest light magic. Light magic is created from love. Snow and Charming knew exactly whom Glinda was talking about.

One Heart

In order to cast The Dark Curse and send everyone back to Storybrooke to find the savior, Snow White had to give up the one thing she loved the most: Prince Charming. To be more specific, she had to crush his heart into to the potion.

She didn’t want to, but Charming insisted. They had to save their child. He eventually convinced her to go through with it. Snow and Charming shared a tearful goodbye and melted my heart in big puddle.

Charming told Snow they shared one heart before TEQ ripped his heart out, so it could go into the potion. Snow crushed Charming heart and he collapsed. Snow rushed to his side and sobbed as the curse bubbled in the caldron.

Snow remembered what Charming said about them sharing one heart and got an idea. She begged TEQ to rip her heart out, split it in two and give the other half to Charming. She believed her heart could be strong enough for both of them to survive. TEQ was hesitant to perform the action, because she knew it would kill both of them if it didn’t work.

In the end, Snow managed to convince TEQ to go through with it. TEQ split Snow’s heart and put one part back in her chest, and the other in Charming. At first, Charming remained lifeless. However, right before the smoke of the curse overtook them, he took a deep breath. Snow’s heart was indeed strong enough for the both of them. After all, true love is the strongest magic.

Breaking The Curse

In order to break the forgotten memories curse, Henry (Jared S. Gilmore) had to regain his memory first. The group figured out the best way for him to remember without a special potion would be for him to touch the Once Upon A Time book. Snow managed to find the book and the group set out to find Henry. They found him in the midst of an attack by the flying monkeys at the docks.

After the monkeys were defeated, Emma asked Henry to trust her and touch the book. He seemed skeptical of his mother at first, but eventually touched the book. Flashes of the past rushed back to Henry and he embraced Emma and his other mother, Regina. As Emma went to kiss Henry to officially bring everyone’s memory’s back, Henry disappeared in a green flash.

Zelena appeared out of nowhere with Henry and threatened to kill him. Regina tried to stop her, but Zelena knocked her out cold. Zelena squeezed Henry’s neck, and Emma went into Mama Bear mode. She crouched down and used her light magic to burn Zelena’s hands. Zelena released Henry, but vowed to return and finish Henry off.

Henry thanked Emma for saving him, and then rushed to Regina’s side. He begged her to wake up. She eventually came around. Regina promised Henry she would never let him go again, and kissed him on the forehead. Suddenly, a wind rushed through everyone and the memories curse was broken.

Hook Confesses

After the showdown with Zelena, Emma confronted Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) about him failing The Wicked Witch. Hook confessed Zelena cursed his lips, so he could strip Emma of her magic with one kiss.

However, Hook couldn’t go through with it. Instead, he was going to take Henry to New York to protect him from Zelena. Emma wasn’t pleased Hook had the intention of helping/kidnapping her son without her knowledge. Unfortunately for Hook, Emma felt she couldn’t trust him anymore. Without trust, a relationship has nothing.

A Message

In Storybrooke, everyone wondered how Hook regained his memory to rescue Emma from her false reality. Hook believed he received a message from The Charmings, but they swore they never sent him a message.

Back in The Enchanted Forest before The Dark Curse, Zelena made up a potion to keep her memories intact in Storybrooke. Rumpel rambled about her failure of enacting her own curse, but Zelena stated she could invoke her curse in any land.

She gave Rumpel a vial of her memory potion, and wondered if he wanted to remember the death of his son. She left him alone to make a decision. As Rumpel was about to drink the potion, Neal (Michael Raymond-James) split from his body.

Neal held the potion in his hand, and believed Emma needed to remember more than they did. He ripped a piece of fabric from his shirt and wrote a note on it. He whistled to the window and a bird appeared. Neal strapped the potion and the note to the bird, and instructed it to fly to Killian Jones on The Jolly Roger.
