Pretty Little Liars Recap: Whirly Girlie
The gang finally made it back to Rosewood on this week’s Pretty Little Liars. Alison’s (Sasha Pieterse) alive status was revealed to all, but the girls’ torment was far from over. By the end of the episode someone was dead.
The girls convinced Ali to stay in town, so she went immediately to the cops and made up a really sketchy story about having been kidnapped for two years, and rescued by her friends. The girls were not pleased about being dragged into another big lie/cover up. However, Emily (ShayMitchell) was the least bothered since it looked like her Ali crush was in full bloom again.
After Aria (Lucy Hale) killed Shana (AeriélMiranda) in self-defense last week, they left the body and told no one. Now, it’s murder and Aria was freaking out about taking a life and getting caught. What was worse was that someone knew what she did and was taunting her about it. Aria thought it was still “A” somehow. The others nixed this theory. Possible culprits included Jason (Drew Van Acker) or Mona (Janel Parrish), with the latter seeming more likely.
Later, Alison and Mona had a confrontation. Ali apologized for everything, and basically wanted a truce. Mona promised to make her life hell. It also looked like Mona and Mike (Cody Christian) might get back together. Mike was sporting a great new haircut, and he probably spoke more in this episode than ever before. Could Aria’s little bro finally start becoming a featured character?

Ali’s dad was ecstatic to have her back, while Jason was freaked out and acting pretty shady about something. Since Mrs. D was nowhere to be found, the girls suspected he was hiding her. Also, the Liars finally admitted they thought she would only try and cover up Ali’s murder, if her other child had committed the crime. However, at the end of the episode a dog had dug up her dead body in the backyard.
Elsewhere, Toby (Keegan Allen) came back from London and revealed to Spencer (Troian Bellisario) how Melissa (Torrey DeVitto) lied about seeing him there. So how did she know to come back to town, and how was Wren (Julian Morris) involved? Then, the reunited Spoby got busy in the bedroom.
So, who do we think killed Ali's mom? Although with that family, there's always the possibility she'll turn up alive. I don't think it's Jason, but it does seem like he's hiding something... Hit the comments with your theories below!
