Ann Ryland Ewing (Brenda Strong) better watch her back. A blast from her husband Bobby's (Patrick Duffy) Dallas 1.0 past is heading to the TNT update, and she's being played by an alum of The O.C. and Days of Our Lives!
Dallas Decorder is reporting Melinda Clarke (ex-Julie Cooper, The O.C.; ex-Faith Taylor, DAYS) has been tapped to recreate the role of Carter McKay's daughter Tracey. Tracey McKay, originally played by Beth Toussaint during Season 12 of the original Dallas, was once in a love triangle with Bobby and April Stevens Ewing (Sheree J. Wilson).
Tracey's whack job brother Tommy (J. Eddie Peck) was also part of the equation for a time, courtesy of his obsession with April. Who can forget that episode where a storm trapped them all at Southfork?
Earlier this season, Dallas revisited the McKay clan by introducing Carter's scheming grandson Hunter (Fran Kranz). The tech mogul is secretly exacting revenge on boyhood pal John Ross (Josh Henderson), by convincing him to take Ewing Global public, only for Nicolas Treviño a.k.a. Joaquin (Juan Pablo di Pace) to seize control of the energy conglomerate.
Could Hunter be Tracey's son? A rep for TNT confirmed Clarke's casting, but isn't spilling any Texas tea regarding her story arc. Look for Clarke (daughter of DAYS legend John "Uncle Mickey" Clarke) to appear during the second half of Season 3 of Dallas, which begins August 18.
