This week’s Pretty Little Liars had a relationship implode. Plus, Alison’s (Sasha Pieterse) "kidnapper" confessed?
Aria (Lucy Hale) and Hanna (Ashley Benson) were still feuding. Spencer (Troian Bellisario) asked Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) to stop enabling her (and was also very judgey about his messy cabin). It seemed to work.
Caleb learned about Zack (Steve Talley) creeping on Hanna, and confronted him. Zack tried denying it, but Caleb saw through him, and socked him in the jaw.
Aria also told her mom about Hanna’s claims. Apparently this behavior was not new. The engagement was off. Later, she was comforted by Byron (Chad Lowe). Could this lead to a reunion between Aria’s parents?
The girls were livid at Alison for bringing Noel (Brant Daugherty) into her ruse. They went behind her back, and investigated him. He had a bunch of photos which proved Ali was never kidnapped. Emily (Shay Mitchell) stole them.
Later, Noel confronted Spencer because he wanted his stuff back. A minor scuffled ensued. Noel had stolen the pictures from Jenna (Tammin Sursok). He was on Ali’s side, but wanted collateral so she couldn’t betray him at some point.
Spencer said she and the girls also needed protection, and told Noel she was keeping them. He was upset, but at least the damning evidence against Alison would be safe.
Ashley (Laura Leighton) was asked to bring Ali to the police station for a line up, since they caught the intruder. A man confessed to the break-in at the Marin home, and to holding Alison hostage for two years. He knew all the details about the story Ali told (because “A” had procured a copy of her recording).
Alison, who’d been increasingly worried about the police finding evidence of her lies, confirmed he was her kidnapper. Why was “A” helping Alison?
Elsewhere, the girls found out Sydney (Chloe Bridges) was in Jenna’s pocket. Since she’s going to be a student coach for the swim team now, Emily vowed to make Sydney regret her betrayal at practices.
Is anyone else liking the new swim coach? You can never have enough sardonic wit. Let’s just hope we don’t have another “Zack” on our hands. Caleb was a total hero for punching that guy!
