Who knew back 90's, when Allison Janney was providing comic relief as the Spaulding's maid Ginger on Guiding Light, she'd go on to win five Emmy awards?

The versatile thespian took home her fifth trophy at the Creative Arts Emmys this past weekend, for her work in Showtime's critically-acclaimed Masters of Sex. Janney won for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama series. Her four prior statues came for her career-defining turn as Press Secretary C.J. Cregg on The West Wing.

Janney's Masters of Sex character, Margaret Scully, was sent reeling last season, after learning her husband Barton (Beau Bridges) is a closeted gay man. Bridges was also nominated for an Emmy, but lost out toScandal's Joe Morton.

Janney could take home a sixth Emmy Award next Monday. She's nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a comedy for the CBS laffer Mom.

The 66th Annual Primetime Emmys will air Aug. 25 at 8 pm EST on NBC.
