ABC Daytime has finally named the two women who will join Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O'Donnell at The View coffee table this fall. According to Deadline, actress Rosie Perez and conservative politico Nicole Wallace will be on the new season of the embattled chatfest.
Perez, who is set to costar with Larry David on Broadway in Fish In The Dark, will reportedly juggle her acting gigs with her new talking head role. Wallace previously served as communications director for President George W. Bush.
The two women will arrive at The View's new studio on Sept. 15 with huge expectations following them. The once juggernaut Mouse House talk show has been plagued by backstage drama and a revolving door of players for several seasons now.
Most recently, Sherri Shepherd quit the program; Jenny McCarthy was fired after just one season. Those headline-grabbing exits followed co-creator Barbara Walters' retirement from the program.
Walters' business partner, Bill Geddie, is also no longer with the ABC vehicle. Former Rachel Maddow executive producer Bill Wolff has assumed Geddie's showrunner role. Are you excited to see Perez and Wallace on the new season of The View? Sound off in the comments!
