Okay, someone at CBS Daytime's The Young and the Restless is FINALLY getting the memo about tapping into the soap's rich history vault!
First Cassie (Camryn Grimes) gets an evil twin (complete with a Grace Turner-in-Teddy cameo); then Shemar Moore signs on to bring Malcolm Winters AND sexy back to Genoa City for a couple of fays. Now, in a homage to the serial's origin story, Tom Hallick is returning — but not as hunk Brad Eliot!
TV Guide Magazine's Michael Logan got the scoop from Hallick on his Sept. 26 cameo. According to Logan:
Hallick will be seen as a kindly truck driver who helps an on-the-lam Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) find her way back to Genoa City. The setup is a trippy homage to the premiere episode of Y&R — in fact, the soap's very first scene — which had Brad getting a lift from a truck driver heading to GC.
This sounds fun. Are you excited to see Phyllis come trucking home to Wisconsin with a dude who looks an awful lot like the guy the Brooks sisters battled over back in the early 70's? Sound off in the comments!
