Forget Megatron, Voldemort or the Eye of Sauron, because a Godzillian Prattastrophe is headed for The Young and the Restless to join Jill Farren Phelps' Legion of Doom!

On today's Daytime Confidential podcast Luke Kerr, Jamey Giddens, Jillian Bowe, Regan Cellura, Mike Jubinville and Sara Bibel dish the latest in The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless and The View headlines and storylines.

The Young and the Restless hires Chuck Pratt as head writer and executive producer. His time as All My Children's head writer was a disaster and considered a Prattastrophe by many.

He has admitted in interviews he doesn't care about character development. He throws actors under the bus when his storytelling goes awry. Even Susan Lucci, who almost never says a bad thing about anyone or anything, lambasted his time at All My Children in her memoir.

The DC gang debates what his hiring means for the No. 1 soap. Bibel shares more intel on how Pratt became the head writer when Bill Bell protégé Sally Sussman Morina was in contention. Allegedly Jill Farren Phelps sidestepped Angelica McDaniel by having Pratt's agent go directly to Nina Tassler and sell the idea.
