Trash talk shows continue to reign supreme in daytime. NBCUniversal Domestic Telelvision has announced The Jerry Springer Show, Maury and Springer spin-off, The Steve Wilkow Show, have all inked new deals to air in 2018.
The trio have extended their current deals to include two additional seasons, which will lock the shows in national syndication. The two extra seasons were sold to top stations which represent more than 65 percent of the U.S. market. NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution and NBC Broadcast Operations president Ed Swindler said:
Maury, The Jerry Springer Show and The Steve Wilkos Show have been among the highest-rated talk shows in all of daytime television for many years, and that strong performance is clearly continuing in the new season. We have great station group partners and we are pleased to join with them to bring these successful shows to viewers for the next four years.
