Mob queen Ava Jerome (Maura West) and dutiful physician Dr. Silas Clay (Michael Easton) have an established connection on General Hospital. They share a daughter — a fact Ava kept from Silas for over two decades.

The duo recently reconnected, as Ava's growing list of concerns over her second offspring intensified to the point where she needed a doctor on call. Even someone temporarily blinded by by a poisoned batch of Pickle-Lila  can see where this is headed, but do Ava and Silas make for a seductive pair, or are they absolutely snore-worthy?

Ava Jerome is one of the most dynamic characters introduced on General Hospital during the past decade. As played by Daytime Emmy winner West, Ava has manipulated her way throughout Port Charles, laying waste to families, businesses and romances.

Ava's relationship with boy wonder Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) was so scorching-hot we couldn't stop talking about it here at Daytime Confidential. In fact, we're still scratching our heads as to why TPTB chose to end such a game-changing pairing.

Silas Clay shared moderate heat opposite widowed private dick Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco), but that petite vixen is off having a ball investigating latex mask-wearing mystery supervillains with Dr. Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson). Meanwhile, Morgan must have lost a bet, because he seems slated for a redux with Silas and Ava's ill-defined daughter Kiki (Kristen Alderson). I've heard of fire and ice, but does anyone really think Ava Jerome's liquid heat will go well with Silas Clay's near-frozen persona?

Whenever we get a hint of a new soap couple, I always start wondering what their squish name should be. The name that immediately jumps to mind is #SavUs (read: "Save Us).  Sure the spelling isn't perfect, but it fits. Someone save us from this pairing.
