New Year's Eve is always an eventful night in fictional Port Charles, New York. Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) brought in 2014 by making love to Dr. Silas Clay (Michael Easton) on General Hospital. The dawn of 2015 finds the petite P.I. trying to figure out where things stand with another gorgeous physician, Dr. Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson).
If Patrick and Sam take the step from being friends to lovers, can they ever go back? Watch the sneak peek clip after the jump!
While those two are trying to figure out if "Samtrick" would make a viable soap opera squish name, Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Nathan (Ryan Paevey) are logging tons of frequent flyer miles in desperate attempts to celebrate the one-year anniversary of their first meeting. See what I mean below!
If Nathan's love life is coming off like a screwball rom-com, fellow law enforcement agent Jordan Ashford's (Vinessa Antoine) is shaping up to be quite the crime thriller. Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) wants the ex-DEA agent to stay under cover and work for the PCPD to take down the Corinthos crime family. The only problem is, Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore), the man Jordan loves, is the mob dynasty's top enforcer.
Jordan is right to question if this move is personal for Anna. The beautiful Brit boss lady's ex-lover, Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan), is temporarily at the helm of House Corinthos, while Sonny (Maurice Benard) is busy fashioning shivs out of toothbrushes in Pentonville. It looks like Duke will find a little time for romance this holiday season, however. Watch for the kilt-lover and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) to grow closer this week.
Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) was definitely catching feelings for hunky house guest "Jake" (Billy Miller), but the return of Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) has busted up that little liaison. Is Liz getting back with Ric out of a sense of duty, or is she simply afraid to let down her guard with the "new" guy in her life?
