Devon (Bryton James) and Hilary's (Mishael Morgan) illicit affair is no longer the sole The Young and the Restless storyline offering up soapy goodness. Back-from-the-dead Adam Newman (Justin Hartley) masquerading as Gabriel Bingham—with the help of Girl Friday Sage (Kelly Sullivan)—continues to shape up into quite the fun arc. On Monday's installment of the CBS soap, Adam learned Gabriel and Sage were married!
As Adam skimmed over Constance's (Sally Kellerman) will, he desperately tried to keep his big, brown eyes from morphing into dollar signs. Victor's (Eric Braeden) greedy youngest son received quite the shock when he learned Gabriel and Sage were married. They have to stay hitched for three years, or they forfeit the Bingham estate.
I love how Dickensesque this saga is turning out to be. I'm a card-carrying sucker for secret identities on suds. It's about time The Young and the Restless remembered it's supposed to be entertaining. Not that fighting to save coffeehouses isn't thrilling to watch...
I cannot wait for "Gabriel" to start romancing Adam's widow! Speaking of Mrs. Newman, Billy (Burgess Jenkins) wants Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) to take off Adam's wedding ring. He has some nerve, considering he spends every free moment over at the sitcom pad he once shared with Victoria (Amelia Heinle)!
Okay, so they have a newborn daughter. That doesn't excuse Billy trying to phallus block big, scruffy Stitch (Sean Carrigan) and Victoria's relationship every chance he gets. Adam/Gabriel should buy Stitch a beer and compare notes on what a tool Billy is.
