The Bold and the Beautiful is having its best January ever, thanks to a canvas-energizing umbrella story and the performances of Karla Mosley (Maya), Linsey Godfrey (Caroline) and Jacob Young (Rick).
Rick and Maya have taken over Forrester Creations and are tossing around the term “matriarch” like candy to hyper children. Rick even installed Maya’s painting where the beloved edifice of Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) once hung. His revenge has destroyed Caroline, though she remains determined to fight for her man.
On this week’s Daytime Confidential podcast, four out of five co-hosts agreed: they are on #TeamMaya! They love her underdog, rags-to-riches storyline. They believe she really loves Rick and deserves to be the woman on his arm. Jamey Giddens goes so far as to proclaim her the Black Erica Kane.
This week on B&B, Maya told Caroline she’d give up everything for Rick. I don’t believe that for one second!
I’m on #TeamCaroline. Just because Maya came from poverty and prison doesn't mean she's an underdog to manor born Caroline.
I remember the connection Rick and Maya shared from the very beginning. Who can forget that Pretty Woman moment at the Forrester boutique on Rodeo Drive? No, if anyone's been the underdog in this triangle, it's been Caroline.
Maya had Rick’s heart from the beginning. Despite Caroline's schemes, it was Maya who chose to walk away from her relationship with Rick.
Caroline actually had to work to win Rick’s love. He may find Maya's honesty refreshing, but I agree with Ms. Spencer, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and the Forrester cousins — Rick is only with Maya to stick it to the wife who betrayed him with his brother. It's obvious he still loves her! Who's side are you on in this great, Bold and Beautiful debate?
