"The Outspoken King" found Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) demanding Lucious (Terrence Howard) let Jamal (Jussie Smollett) perform at the opening of his new nightclub, along with Hakeem (Bryshere Gray). Lucious flat out refused.
Cookie, inspired by her new assistant, hatched a plot for Jamal to come out of the closet to steal his brother's spotlight. Lucious found out about the scheme and threatened to cut his middle son off financially.
Meanwhile, a video of Hakeem bashing President Obama went viral. Andre's (Trai Byers) wife, Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday), wanted him back on his meds and promptly put on a blow job bib to get him to see things her way. The installment ended with Cookie being forced into a car where a federal agent was waiting.
