Alison Sweeney wrapped a juggernaut, two-decade run as Days of Our Lives' Samantha Gene Brady last year. Will the stellar performance she turned in during her final season be enough to snag her a Daytime Emmy? The users at GoldDerby seem to think so!
The website's top odds makers expect Sweeney, who's never even been nominated for a Daytime Emmy, to take home a golden lady this year. Sweeney made the pre-nomination cut along with her former TV grandma Peggy McCay (Caroline).
The DAYS women are competing for final nods against The Bold and the Beautiful's Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke) and Heather Tom (Katie); General Hospital's Laura Wright (Carly) and Maura West (Ava) and The Young and the Restless leading ladies Tracey Bregman (Lauren), Jessica Collins (Avery), Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea) and Gina Tognoni (Phyllis).
The final nominees will be announced March 26. Do you agree with GoldDerby's users? Is this Sweeney's year to not only get a nod, but actually win? Sound off in the comments!
