General Hospital's Women 18-49 Ratings Woes Continue

ABC Daytime's General Hospital dropped to a new low among female viewers aged 18-49 for the third week in a row, according to Nielsen data published by Soap Opera Network.

GH went up in total viewers by 5,000 the week of March 23-27, 2015. It was down 227,000 over the same ratings period last year. The Mouse House serial tied its all-time low among the women 18-49 demo for the third straight week and also dipped among W25-54. The soap was up in the W18-34 demo.

The news wasn't much better for Days of Our Lives the week in question. DAYS tied its all-time lows in W18-49 and W18-34 for the third straight week. The soap was also down among W25-54. DAYS dipped 154,000 in total viewers over the previous week. The NBC soap was down 189,000 in total viewers over the same week last year.

While CBS Daytime's The Young and the Restless experienced slight female demo dips, it was up in total viewers (+25,000) and among households. Y&R was only down 25,000 over the same period last year.    

The Bold and the Beautiful was the only daytime soap opera to have clear cut bragging rights for the week. B&B was up in total viewers (+35,000), households, W18-49, W18-34 and W25-54. However, the 30-minute sudser was down 123,000 total viewers over the same ratings period last year.
