The ratings are in for the week of May 4-8, and it looks like both CBS Daytime's The Young and the Restless and ABC's General Hospital can breathe momentary sighs of relief.
Y&R added 80,000 viewers over the previous week and was up 147,000 over this time last year. The soap also went up in all key demos.
GH went up 79,000 total viewers over the last ratings cycle. The soap boasted demo increases in households, women 18-49 and among W25-54, but fell among W18-34. Despite GH's W18-49 gains, it still tied it's all-time low in the demo for the third straight week.
The Bold and the Beautiful went up 80,000 total viewers and was up a whopping 224,000 over the same time frame last year. B&B went up in households, W18-34 and among W25-54, but fell among W18-49.
Days of Our Lives fell 71,000 total viewers and was down 203,000 from this time last year. DAYS dropped across the board in demos. Hopefully some of the casting buzz leading up to the soap's 50th anniversary will start to cause numbers to spike. See you next Ratings!
