Leave it to John Oliver and his hilarious HBO news program, Last Week Tonight, to give a teenage refugee—and Days of Our Lives fans everywhere—the EJami happy ending the NBC soap denied them.

Sixteen-year-old Syrian refugee Nageen Mustafa  recently told ABC News she learned to speak English by watching the 50-year-old daily serial. Mustafa was especially fond of the sudser's then central supercouple EJ DiMera (James Scott) and Samantha Brady (Alison Sweeney), affectionately known by fans as "EJami".

Sunday night, Oliver staged the reunion of our wildest EJami dreams, but not before summing up both the refugee crisis and the saga of Ejami flawlessly.

"After weeks of total hell, mortal danger and inhumane treatment, Nageen's biggest complaint is that the show actually killed off EJ, who was her favorite character. Frankly, she's right to be upset. EJ and Sami were magic together! Yes, you could argue that EJ basically blackmailed Sami into marriage and then impregnanted her and then worked for Sami's arch nemesis, Nicole Walker, who he then also impregnated. Then he kidnapped Sami's baby and made her think it was dead so Sami shot him in the head, but you know what, that's the the kind of thing couples do."

Ah-maze-ing.  Watch below beginning around the 13:00 mark for an EJami reunion—and an education on the refugee crisis—you won't soon forget!
