Former The Young and the Restless star Vanessa Marano (ex-Eden Gerick) isn't the only one who hated her Gilmore Girls character, April Nardini.
E! caught up with the Switched at Birth star, who revealed she was already a fan of Gilmore Girls before joining the cast as Luke's (Scott Patterson) daughter. Many fans thought April was an annoying bother. The show didn't help endear April to viewers, by having her break up Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Luke.
"That poor, poor 12-year-old fictional character was hated, which I get," Marano, who now stars on ABC Family's Switched at Birth, tells E! News. "I kind of hated April Nardini, too, as a fan of the show. She broke up Luke and Lorelai!"
In case you've been under a rock this past week, it was announced that Netflix has ordered a limited-run Gilmore Girls reunion.
