Bewitched had two Darrins. Roseanne had two Beckys (Sometimes in the same TV season!) Even The Young and the Restless has two, interchangeable Faith Newmans. So what's the big deal if both Shawn Douglas Bradys get to take a spin in the role during Days of Our Lives' 50th Anniversary season?
Brandon Beemer has resumed the role he played from 2006 to 2008. He is once again taking over from Jason Cook. The O.G. adult Shawn D returned for just a two-month stint, which is currently airing on the sudser. Cook originally played Shawn from 1999-2006, following a string of child and tween actors. He proved a hit opposite a post-Zenon and pre-General Hospital Kirsten Storms as Belle.
Beemer will reunite with TV wife Martha Madison (Belle) and fellow Dirty Soap alum John-Paul Lavoisier, who has been cast in the role of Phillip Kiriakis, Shawn's half-uncle and rival for Belle's affections. Thanks to Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome, Shawn and Belle are now the parents to a teen daughter, Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan). Serial Scoop's Michael Goldberg first teased this switcheroo in a blind item.
