Everything old is new again on ABC's General Hospital, especially in regard to Michael Easton. The March 14 issue of Soap Opera Digest reveals the actor, who previously played slain Dr. Silas Clay, cop John McBain and serial killer Stephen Clay on the sudser, is returning as yet another doctor.
Judging from all the gushing from executive producer Frank Valentini and head writers Jean Passanante and Shelly Atlman in this week's SOD, GH is pretty much betting the farm on this particular Easton stint paying off big time.
Said Valentini: "We just felt like there was nobody like Michael on the canvas." He has a point. Easton has never appeared on The Young and the Restless.
Apparently the challenge of bringing Easton on as yet another character really got Jelly's creative juices flowing, according to two separate features about this subject in the magazine. I know, maybe ABC primetime writers will be tuning in and decide to bring on another political fixer for Kerry Washington to play on Scandal, Sylvia Priest? No?
