One Life to Live alum Trevor St. John may have a sleeper hit on his hands, by The CW standards at least. The premiere of Containment, Julie Plec's (The Vampire Diaries, The Originals) new outbreak mini-series, improved on iZombie's Season 2 finale numbers in the same time slot Tuesday night.
According to Deadline, approximately 1. 72 million people watched the first episode of the limited-run thriller. St. John plays Leo Greene, a disgraced journalist-turned-blogger covering the mysterious epidemic. At WonderCon, St John dished the character during an interview with Daily Actor. Here's an excerpt:
Leo seems a little duplicitous. How did you get into the mindset to play that?
Trevor St. John: I love those kind of characters, those are the best kind of characters. I love any character that you can’t say is good or bad. I love it when it’s a mixture because that’s how most people are, you know? The most interesting ones are the ones that are unpredictable and Leo is unpredictable.
So, I didn’t have to do anything. It was so well-written and it’s such a good part that I didn’t have to get in any mindset. You decide to let go and just play.
Containment airs at 9/8C Tuesdays on The CW.
