The drought is over! After half a season of watching younger brother Hakeem (Bryshere Gray) have his pick from a suicidal cougar, a jealous pop star ex, a possibly deranged baby mama and a virginal ingénue, Jamal Lyon (Jussie Smollett) finally got some action Wednesday night on Empire.  No, it wasn't from Alicia Keys. Mal went back to being strictly about the "D" — D-Major (Tobias Truvillion) to be precise!

The in-your-face (and closeted) musical director for the primetime soap's fictional American Sound Awards might look familiar to fans of defunct ABC Daytime soap opera One Life to Live. Truvillion played Vincent Jones on the sudser from 2006-08.
