During an appearance on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, Chen told host Andy Cohen and fellow guest Lisa Rinna she believed every word of the gossip column's scuttlebutt about the state of The View. Said Chen:
"I believed every word I read in Page Six, I did. And there were contradicting sides and I believed all of it was true 'cause there's a little bit of truth to everything. Someone said she calls the control room and we take her notes seriously. And I was like, 'She calls the control room [and] I don't know if you take her notes that seriously. You probably make her feel like you're taking it that seriously, but she doesn't feel that way.' And I do think that Barbara Walters is probably like, 'This amazing show I created is now just kind of withering away with a revolving door of hosts that people can't keep straight.' I mean, I should know all the names of the hosts and I don't 'cause it changes so often."
Chen is definitely in a position to take a few pot shots at The View. When The Talk premiered in 2010, Walters and Co. dismissed the CBS Daytime show as a lightweight copycat of her Mouse House chat fest. In recent seasons, however, The Talk has managed to eclipse The View in terms of popularity and stability.
