Rumors have been swirling that Elizabeth Hendrickson is set to exit CBS Daytime's The Young and the Restless. I'm hearing from multiple sources the All My Children alum is no longer on contract at Y&R. A rep for the show stated, "We do not comment on actor contracts."
In May 2016, I broke news of Hendrickson reprising the role of fashionista Chloe Mitchell. Then-head writer Chuck Pratt brought the character back literally with a vengeance. Chloe ended up "killing" antihero Adam Newman (Justin Hartley) by seemingly blowing him up in a cabin.
"Elizabeth only signed on for a year," points out one insider. 'She's still there through spring and could stick around on recurring."
Since the return of veteran Y&R scribes Sally Sussman and Kay Alden, Hendrickson and Chloe haven't had much to do on the canvas. Plans Pratt's writing team had to recast the character of Phillip "Chance" Chancellor IV (last played by John Driscoll) — Chloe's old flame — were tabled and story movement concerning the paternity of Chloe's baby daughter Bella slowed to a stop.
