Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Are Taking Over Television
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have come a long way since their days as star-crossed lovers Hayley Vaughan and Mateo Santos on All My Children. Thanks in large part to Ripa's cushy syndicated gig on Live!, she and her husband have become quite the power couple. Don't sleep on Mark, though. The in demand actor consistently books high profile gigs on shows like Fox's Pitch and USA's Queen of The South.
It isn't their respective day jobs that have Ripa and Consuelos in the trades this spring, however; it's Milojo, their burgeoning production company, that has Hollywood taking notice.
Late last month, Variety broke news of ABC Studios optioning the rights to hot literary property Geek Girl Rising, with plans of developing the tome as a scripted TV series. Ripa and Consuelos will executive produce the project about female tech entrepreneurs.
The pair who brought us E!'s short-lived Dirty Soap also has a controversial new reality show debuting April 27. Logo's Fire Island will take viewers to the East Coast's "gay mecca", as one gentleman calls the beachfront community in the trailer below.
