Former Today Show host Tamron Hall has netted a development deal with Disney ABC to create her own daytime talk show that will air in syndication. Hall dropped a hint of her upcoming show via Instagram and stated on the social media platform,
In a statement to Deadline, Janice Marinelli, president, Global Content Sales and Distribution, Direct-to-Consumer and International of The Walt Disney Company said,
We are incredibly excited to partner with Tamron and look forward to bringing a fresh, new daytime talk show to stations across the country that will showcase her enormous talent and dynamic personality
Hall, who left NBC in 2017 and has hosted the series Deadline: Crime with Tamron Hall for Investigation Discovery since 2013, also released a statement saying,
My new partners appreciate and respect the relationship I’ve built with my audience and know that if we create television worth watching, they’ll join us for the ride. I’m so grateful and excited for this next chapter. The landing makes the leap of faith so worth it!
In July 2017, Hall signed a previous development deal with Weinstein Television to create her own talk show after leaving NBC and The Today Show, but it was subsequently killed off after allegations of Harvey Weinstein's sexual misconduct came to light.
