Is Tequan Richmond getting ready to fly the coop over at General Hospital? You decide. Deadline is reporting Richmond has landed the lead role in BET's upcoming tv reboot of the 1992 hit romantic comedy flick, Boomerang.
Based on the film of the same name, the series centers on Jacqueline Boyer's (played by Robin Givens in the film) son Bryson, and Marcus (portrayed by Eddie Murphy in the original) and Angela Graham’s (Halle Berry in both the film and series) daughter, Simone (Tetona Jackson).
According to the site, Bryson is a tough, clever and charming young man who was raised by his single mother. He’s very confident and isn't afraid to show his softer side. Just like Simone, Bryson is looking to make a mark on the world.
A day before this news broke, a casting call was placed for "Terrance" on GH, who is listed as a "Male, African American, 23-25. Handsome, charming, smart. Successful grad student has overcome some adversity."
Is that Richmond's replacement? As of right now, GH is keeping mum on things.
