General Hospital Nabs Top Honors at WGA Awards


General Hospital has once again taken home the gold for the fifth year in a row at the Writer's Guild Awards. The awards took place this past weekend with one ceremony in Los Angeles and one in New York City.

GH's writing team of Shelly Altman, Christopher Van Etten; Writers: Barbara Bloom, Anna Theresa Cascio, Suzanne Flynn, Charlotte Gibson, Lucky Gold, Kate Hall, Elizabeth Korte, Daniel James O’Connor, Donny Sheldon, and  Scott Sickles faced off against their former head writer Ron Carlivati and his team at Days of Our Lives, consisting of writers Sheri Anderson, Lorraine Broderick, David Cherrill, Joanna Cohen, Lisa Connor, Carolyn Culliton, Richard Culliton, Rick Draughon, Cydney Kelley, David Kreizman, David A. Levinson, Rebecca McCarty, Ryan Quan, Dave Ryan, Katherine Schock, Elizabeth Snyder, and Tyler Topits

While GH's official Twitter handle nor their executive producer Frank Valentini announced their win, the show's own Eden McCoy (Josslyn Jacks) celebrated their win online tweeting,
