Who is Ms. Deveraux you ask? She is the half-sister of energy tycoon Blake Carrington (Grant Show) who is a self-made woman known for her fashion sense and flair for drama. Dominique will be heading back to Atlanta after a long tenure in New York City, where she sought fame and fortune. Dominique returns home to reconnect with her estranged children. She wonders if she wants to be part of their lives, or will she set out and disappoint them like she's done before?
In the original series, Dominique was the illegitimate half-sister of oil baron Blake (played by John Forsythe), who was a product of his father Tom Carrington and her mother Laura Matthews Cox's affair. She came on in season 4 with the bombshell secret. Michele's casting comes on the heels of Nicollette Sheridan's exit from the series so she can tend to her ailing mother.
