Oprah Winfrey and Prince Harry are teaming up and coming to a television near you soon. The mighty O and the sixth in the line of succession to the British throne are creating a multi-part documentary series that will focus on mental health. The series will air on Apple TV in 2020, and is both produced and co-created by the media maven and the Duke of Sussex.
The two have been working on the project for several months and they are hoping to have a dialog regarding mental illness and mental wellness. According to a statement from Kensington Palace, it will be:
Inspiring viewers to have an honest conversation about the challenges each of us faces, and how to equip ourselves with the tools to not simply survive, but to thrive.
Prince Harry who is, "Incredibly proud" to be working with Winfrey on the project stated,
I truly believe that good mental health - mental fitness - is the key to powerful leadership, productive communities, and a purpose-driven self.
