Wendy Williams is signing off from her marriage. The self-proclaimed "Queen of All Media" (She tell Perez Hilton that?) has filed for divorce from her husband Kevin Hunter of 21 years. A rep for Williams said in a released statement,
Thank you to everyone for respecting the family’s privacy during this time. Kevin is supportive of Wendy and they are working through this process together. No additional comment will be provided at this time.
This news comes on the heels of eagle-eyed viewers noticing that Williams stopped wearing her wedding ring on Thursday. Rumors are floating around about Hunter stepping out on Williams with Sharina Hudson, who allegedly gave birth to Hunter's child last month.
Williams and Hunter, who also serves as her manager and executive producer of The Wendy Williams Show, share a son Kevin Jr, 19. Page Six is reporting Williams had her attorney slap Hunter with divorce papers at 6:30 AM and the talk show host has filed under, "irreconcilable differences." Williams is seeking an “appropriate amount of child support” as well as “other further relief as the Court deems fair and equitable.”
Infidelity rumors swirled around the couple for a few years and Williams never really addressed them. She finally did last month by stating,
I’m still very much in love with my husband. Don’t ask me about mine.
Williams then pointed to her wedding ring and remarked,
It ain’t going anywhere. Not in this lifetime.
