Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Ink True Crime Deal With Oxygen
Real and reel life couple Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are getting into the true crime arena. The Live! With Kelly and Ryan host, along with her Riverdale hubby, have signed a new development deal under their Milojo Productions with the Oxygen network. They will create a number of unscripted series centering around true crime, alongside executive producer Albert Bianchini, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In a released statement Ripa remarked,
"I have been a loyal Oxygen viewer ever since I stumbled upon my very first Snapped marathon that Sunday while making meatballs. Not only have I learned how to commit the perfect crime and dispose of the body, I’ve also learned what the viewers of Oxygen want and that's why this programming partnership makes perfect sense."
Oxygen, which is under the NBCU cable network, rebranded itself into the must see true crime television network in 2017. Oxygen Senior VP Development, Production and International Media's Cori Abrahams stated about the new venture,
