Jeopardy! Current Champ James Holzhauer's Winning Streak Hits 28, Nearing Ken Jennings' Record
Jeopardy! champ James Holzhauer's hot streak continues to get hotter. Holzhauer has currently marked his 28th straight win on the long-running game show on Memorial Day and has added an additional $130,222 to his prize winnings, bringing his total to $2,195,557.
According to The New York Times, he's only $325,000 away from the history-making total that all-time champ Ken Jennings made when he had a total of $2,520,700 during his run in 2004. Holzhauer, a professional Las Vegas gambler, became the second Jeopardy! contestant to hit the $2 million mark. He averages more than $77,000 per show.
