Eva Longoria is an actress, producer, director, philanthropist, and now a mother to 1-year-old Santiago she affectionately calls Santi. The multi-hyphenated phenom has it all and looks flawless doing so. The star of ABC's newest guilty pleasure, Grand Hotel, reveals in the August edition of Parents Magazine how becoming a mother, along with one of the founders of the Time's Up movement, she's fighting for women behind and in front of the camera. Longoria stated,
I do think there has to be a normalization within Hollywood to make sure that motherhood is accepted in a wider way. Many times, [after becoming a mom] you no longer get the sexy roles, or you have to take time off until you’re looking a certain way.
Eva is also shining a spotlight and advocating for change in the workforce, and bringing awareness to the crisis at the Mexican border with the separation of migrant families. According to Longoria,
The stakes are higher now that I have a child. I need to make sure I’m doing my part to leave the world a better place—for him [Santiago] and for all the children of our future.
Longoria's feature hits newsstands in July.
