Joel Aronowitz, who worked at CBS behind the camera, died this past weekend in Pebble Beach. According to his obituary, he started his career as a page at CBS in the late 1950s. During his more than 40 years at the network, he worked his way up to Associate Director and Director of The Edge of Night and As the World Turns. He also worked on productions of CBS Sports.
His many TV credits include the CBS All-American Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Cotton Bowl Parade, and the Tournament of Roses Parade. He has two Emmy Awards for his work as a directing team member for ATWT and NFL Today.
Aronowitz died after a short illness.
