Cameron Boyce's Family Confirms Actor's Death Due to Epilepsy

Cameron Boyce's sudden and tragic death was a result of having an epileptic seizure. The Disney and General Hospital: Night Shift star's family released a statement with People magazine, where it revealed the actor's battle with the ailment. According to the Boyce family,

Cameron's tragic passing was due to a seizure as a result of an ongoing medical condition, and that condition was epilepsy. We are still trying to navigate our way through this extremely heart wrenching time, and continue to ask for privacy so that the family, and all who knew and loved him can grieve his loss and make arrangements for his funeral—which in and of itself, is agonizing.

On Saturday July 6, Boyce was found unresponsive at his home and pronounced dead on the scene once authorities were called. Boyce's preliminary cause of death was due to natural causes, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner's office.
