Gossip Girl is making a comeback. WarnerMedia's upcoming streaming service HBO has given the green light for 10 hour-long episodes of a new version of the über popular series. According to Deadline, the original showrunners from the first incarnation, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, will serve as executive producers of the show, along with Quantico creator Joshua Safran.
Just what will this new version be about? Eight years after the original website went dark, a new squad of New York City private school kids are introduced to the hawk-eye Gossip Girl. Watch for the series to delve into how much social media and the landscape of Gotham itself has changed in the intervening years.
