Centenarian Still Gets Her Daily Fix of The Bold and the Beautiful

When you get to be 100, you can do whatever you want. For Virginia Stephan, that includes a daily dose of The Bold and the Beautiful. The CBS soap fan hails from Spokane, where she currently lives in the same home she and her late husband built in 1954.

According to the Spokesman-Review, she was raised on a farm in Iowa. That prepared for some of life's tougher challenges like a having a baby with a husband away at war and scaring off intruders.

In 2002, she woke up when she heard someone in a nearby room. The intruder came in through an unlocked rear slider door. She took matters into her own hands and "grabbed the dust mop out of the closet and shouted, get the hell out of here!"  He ran off and was found hiding in the bushes a block away.
