Former Fox & Friends co-host Gretchen Carlson sat down with Tamron Hall to discuss being a trailblazer against workplace sexual harassment in the upcoming film based on her experience, Bombshell, and her soon to be released documentaries.
Carlson discussed her 2016 lawsuit while promoting her new Lifetime documentary centered on the college admissions scandal, Behind the Headlines: The College Admission Scandal, and Escaping the NXIVM Cult: A Mother's Fight to Save Her Daughter. A Mother's Fight features Dynasty star Catherine Oxenberg and her quest to rescue her daughter India from the cult.
Carlson made headlines when she filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against the late Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes in 2016. Carlson claimed Ailes fired her from Fox News after she rebuffed his sexual advances. Weeks later, Ailes stepped down from his post and in September, 21st Century Fox announced a settlement with Carlson.
On Nicole Kidman portraying her in Bombshell Carlson stated,
Due to NDAs and settlement clauses, I am not able to be a part of the projects, but I am so glad that they continue the dialogue, and am honored to be portrayed by actresses of that caliber.
