NBC’s Days of Our Lives kicked off September ratings by topping General Hospital in total viewers and households as the ABC soap bottomed out in the categories for the week of September 2-6.
According to Soap Opera Network, DAYS was the only soap to make gains in total viewers and households the first week of September. It gained 82,000 total viewers and +.04 in households week-to-week. It lost a minimal 30,000 total viewers and -.01 in households compared to 2018.
Meanwhile, General Hospital shed 143,000 total viewers and -.07 in households week-to-week. It sank 297,000 viewers and -.15 in households over 2018.
Though GH slipped to No. 4 in total viewers it didn’t lose the most total viewers week-to-week or compared to 2018. . That distinction goes to the two CBS soaps.
The Bold and the Beautiful clocked in with a loss of 189,000 total viewers vs. the week before. The Young and the Restless plummeted 453,000 total viewers compared to 2018.
