Days of Our Lives favorite Alison Sweeney is about to get some holiday cheer courtesy of The Voice's Blake Shelton. Sweeney has been cast in the upcoming film Time For You To Come Home For Christmas produced by Shelton for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Sweeney stars alongside Marvel's Agents of SHIELD star Lucas Bryant in the sequel to last year's flick, Time for Me to Come Home for Christmas based on Shelton's 2012 song, Time for Me to Come Home which starred Josh Henderson and Megan Park.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the film follows recently widowed Katherine (Sweeney) and her son Will as they both head back to her hometown to spend the holidays with family. While on the train to Virginia, Katherine meets military veteran Jack (Bryant) who is also heading home for Christmas. Once the two go their separate ways, they are stunned to learn they are actually heading to the same town. The two grow close while they volunteer at a Christmas dance fundraiser for military families. While Katherine has a hard time moving on from her late husband, Jack is dealing with a secret mission that brought him to town. Once Christmas becomes closer, the almost couple discover a concealed connection, which quite possibly is the Christmas miracle they need.
Time for You to Come Home for Christmas, debuts Friday, Dec. 6 at 9 PM EST on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, which is part of their "Miracles of Christmas" movies.
