Featuring prominently are brash and business-savvy Fallon Carrington (Elizabeth Gillies); her ex-brother-in-law Sammy Jo (Rafael de la Fuente) and former Carrington majordomo Anders (Alan Dale); and sparring half-siblings Blake Carrington (Grant Show) and Dominique Deveraux (Michael Michele).
Eagle-eyed viewers might notice the absence of Ana Brenda Contreras as the "real" Cristal Jennings Carrington. In January 2019, TVLine announced that Contreras will not return to Dynasty for "personal reasons," according to new showrunner Josh Reims, who took over from Sallie Patrick. In true soap opera fashion, however, the role has been recast with a new face.
New series regular Daniella Alonso (ex-Marisol, Being Mary Jane; Zoey, The Resident) will become the third Mrs. Carrington. Blake's first two brides were, of course, Alexis (formerly played by both Nicollette Sheridan and Gillies herself) and Cristal Flores (Nathalie Kelley).
Fresh on the heels of the passing of Dynasty's original Dominique, the inimitable Diahann Carroll, the rebooted Dominique comes to life in the new season. Official synopses see Ms. Deveraux battling her long-lost brother, Blake, for their family legacy. But how will her machinations affect her relationship with her estranged children, Monica (Wakeema Hollis) and Jeff Colby (Sam Adegoke)?
Also getting into trouble are Anders's hellcat daughter Kirby (Maddison Brown) and Fallon's ex-fiancé, Michael Culhane (Robert Christopher Riley). And what's up with troubled Carrington heir Steven (James Mackay) and bad seed Adam (Sam Underwood) - and the last-named's nemesis, Liam (Adam Huber)? Michele, Huber, and Underwood will also now be series regulars.
Dive into the drama when Dynasty's new season premieres on October 11 at 9 PM EST on the CW.
