Ann Curry on Matt Lauer Rape Allegations: "I Believe She is Telling the Truth"

Ann Curry is speaking out on the new allegations her former The Today Show co-anchor Matt Lauer is facing. Earlier this week, new allegations have surfaced inside of Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Ronan Farrow's new book Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators, where Lauer is accused of raping former NBC News employee Brooke Nevils, who was the unidentified woman who came forward and filed a complaint against Lauer which prompted NBC to fire him in 2017.

Lauer came out and denied the allegations and insisted in a letter through his attorney his encounters with Nevils were all consensual. Curry, who worked with Lauer from 1997 to 2015 and served as his co-host from 2011 to 2012, spoke out on Twitter and said,
